Classes at Millers Landing

Looking to learn how to survive in the backcountry, and want to have all the tools to survive or help others? We offer first-aid classes for folks looking to learn wilderness first aid or responder. We are also working towards hosting EMT classes! We also offer kayaking lessons for those looking to learn the basics of sea kayaking and self-rescue.

Hybrid Wilderness First Responder From $725

Our WFR course is engaging, hands-on and instructed to the latest evidence-based practices in wilderness medicine. Our curriculum forces students to think creatively, adapt to ever-changing situations, and learn valuable leadership, decision making and communication skills. Our instructor is a wilderness medicine professional who represents a wide range of intersectionality. They are dually skilled outdoor experiential educators with years of experience working complex rescues and guiding groups in remote, dynamic environments and most of all, are passionate about creating all-encompassing, collaborative learning environments.

Housing and Meal Package From $400

Stay in our charming beach-front camping-style cabins, designed for comfort and privacy during your Wilderness First Responder course at Miller’s Landing. Each cabin accommodates two guests, with a wood stove for warmth and breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness. The cabins are conveniently located next to Miller’s Landing Café, where all class activities will take place.
Included in this package is a delicious, hand-crafted breakfast and lunch each day, prepared fresh in our café on the property. With all meals provided, you won’t need to worry about meal prep—just focus on your class and your adventure!
